Eric and his Goat at the 2009 Detroit-area “Eyes on Design Car Show”. His GTO was entered in the “Pontiacs: The AF and VK Years” class and was awarded a red ribbon.
In 2010, Eric White collaborated with other automotive history enthusiasts to establish the Automotive History Preservation Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the past for the future. Eric spent numerous hours doing what he loved – researching automotive history facts and trivia then sharing it with the world through the Society’s web pages as well as through illustrations and graphics, many of which can be found throughout the website. When Eric died in 2016 the Library hosted on this site was named the Eric White Digital Library. Today we carry on his mission of this ever-growing Online Digital Library that hosts the knowledge extracted from the paper records of pioneers and current champions in the automobile industry and culture.
This includes notifying our members about what information we have been able to find, who helped us find it, where and what type of documents they are.
We are consistently looking for resources both old and new. These are found in books, bulletins, magazines, and other factory communications. This includes information about Automotive Trends throughout history and around the world.
As IRS-approved 501 c3, not-for-profit public charity so we stay mindful of expenses. This includes how we acquire content, manage content, and communicate with our members
