On the old Wild About Cars site we had an icon on the top of the site Technical Info.  So I would like to share some direction on where this information can be found on the new site going forward.  This article will only be going over the information found in that Technical Info Link.

Use the icon below and throughout the site to find all our Technical documents.  We will be adding to this section with transfers from the old site and new items that have been donated or written.  Some of these documents are also linked to specific articles written on the site like this one.

• AMA/MVMA Specifications Sheets.
• Technical Magazine Articles
• Drawings and Charts
• Installation and Programing Guides
• Other specification sheets and info

Currently, we are transferring and updating technical articles from the other platform.  For now, all articles are in one central location but eventually, you will have a technical section linked to every brand in the library.

Most of all the Road Tests in the Library come from the Magazine Archive.  You can use the icon below and throughout the site to find the collection of road tests.  We currently have 1000s of articles that have been uploaded.  We have a group of volunteers and interns helping to tag the appropriate articles as road tests.

You can use the Road Test Link and search by brand and year, try the Road Tests Section. We have recently been gifted a large collection of magazines (Over 2000 Issues) that will help fill in our road test collection.

Brand Year Models Described

We are combining the “Car Models Described” and the “Paint and Body Info”.  You will be able to see a complete overview of a brand’s year.  These pages will link to documents and an image gallery for the year described.  We will be populating more of these after we finish the file transfer.

• Year in Review Information including all highlights and major brand changes.
• Models Offered that Year and what was special about them including trim packages
• Chassis Information.  This includes wheelbase, length, and tire info by series or models.
• Engine and Power Train Options
• Paint Mix Codes. We have a huge listing of these codes, by brand and year, and a link to the specific mix code for paint manufacturers.
• We will all see other significant options and prices if available.

We hope that you will be patient and understand what we are doing with the technical information throughout the new website.

We are putting a ton of effort to compile materials from the old site along with data we’ve culled from multiple sources outside the Library and placed it in an organized structure to save you from jumping all over the website – as well as chasing all over the web to find it.

We are designing new brand home pages which you can preview by looking at the Pontiac Brand Here or from the All Brands Page Here. Of course, this will take some time to complete, and we will be doing the most popular brand first since there are over 200 brands that we have content for and more coming documents coming in every day.

So, enjoy what we have and come back as we are adding content every day.
