The trend toward Danish Modern furnishings has been readily accepted by automakers, as witness the walnut seen on dashboards, door panels, and steering wheel rims. It was rapidly followed up by a number of specialty manufacturers offering do-it-yourself kits to give older cars a touch of wood.
